Independence Day fireworks set for 9:30 p.m. Wednesday

The Newton fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on Independence Day.

J&M Displays will be providing the show again this year. The fireworks will be shot from the softball complex located northeast of Woodland Park. For safety reasons, the softball complex parking lot and ball fields will be off limits for viewers. The restrooms at the softball complex will be open until 9:15 p.m.

In case of rain, the show needs to be canceled, and notification will be aired on KCOB 95.9 FM. The rain date is set for Thursday, July 5.
