Sweet corn is ready to enjoy

John Brandhof was doing a brisk business in fresh sweet corn in the parking lot of The Shoe Department along First Avenue East on Monday afternoon. Brandhof said this year is the earliest he has ever begun selling his corn. He planted the peaches and cream variety on April 6. Brandhof will be selling the corn at the Farmers’ Market this afternoon at the Centre for Arts and Artists beginning at 4 p.m.
