The Newton Flooring Gallery closed its door this week along with multiple locations throughout the state of Iowa.

The Des Moines Register reported Thursday that the Iowa Attorney General's office has received multiple phone calls from Flooring Gallery customers claiming products and services were not being delivered or installed, including those pre-purchased, after the abrupt closings.

The office has also received reports of Flooring Gallery employees alleging that their last round of paychecks bounced. It was not immediately known if employee pay at the company's Newton location was also affected.
