PELLA — The Newton softball team entered Thursday night’s game with a chip on its shoulder.
One night earlier, the Cardinals were embarrassed 15-5 at home by Norwalk in a game they trailed 10-1 after two innings. It gave them something to prove on Thursday.
Newton took care of business, dominating Pella Christian 11-0 in six innings to get back on the winning track.
