Red Rock Balloon Fest set for July 13-15

PELLA — The Pella Convention & Visitors Bureau along with Marion County partners, Red Rock Lake Association, Red Rock Army Corps of Engineers and the Knoxville Chamber are preparing for the second annual Red Rock Balloon Fest, to take place Friday through Sunday, July 13-15.

Twenty-six hot air balloons, pilots and their crews will command the event as they soar over the Red Rock Lake Area, painting the sky with a landscape of color from their launch site at the Red Rock Visitors Center on the south side of Red Rock Dam.

Scheduled activities for the weekend include balloon launches at 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, morning launches at 6 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and the popular “Night Glow” tethered event Saturday evening at dusk.
