Cards stunned by Warriors on Senior Night

The Cardinals will want to forget about Wednesday night. Fast.

Coming off arguably its best game of the season — a 6-0 win over Pella on Monday night — the Newton softball team had one of its worst on Wednesday, falling 15-4 at home to Norwalk in five innings.

It was a significant game in the Little Hawkeye Conference, as both teams entered tied atop the standings at 5-2. The Cardinals dropped to 11-8 (5-3) on the season, while the Warriors improved 16-10 (6-2).
