Chapé named Vermeer vice president of human resources

PELLA — Vermeer Corporation has announced that Lin Chapé has been named vice president of human resources.

Chapé has been with Vermeer Human Resources since November 2007, most recently as senior director. She will continue to direct supervision and responsibility over human resources, including training, compensation, benefits and organizational development. She is a member of the Vermeer executive team, reporting directly to CEO Mary Andringa.  

Prior to employment at Vermeer, Chapé was director of training and staffing of Maytag Whirlpool. A resident of Newton, she has extensive background in human resources in both business and academic settings. Chapé currently serves in several board member roles with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Institute, Iowa Innovation Gateway, Central Iowa Workforce Investment and the Governor’s STEM Advisory.
