Mary Jo Johnson, 58, of Stuart, formerly of Des Moines, passed away on June 8, 2012, at her daughter’s home in Stuart, Iowa, surrounded by her loving family.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Iles Funeral Homes Grandview Park Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Mary was born on Sept. 1, 1953, in Albia, Iowa, to Gladys (Caldwell) and Warren Johnson. Mary graduated from Newton Senior High School. She worked at Maytag Corporation in Newton until it closed and then as an autism associate with The Homestead in Altoona.
