Our brother, Hal Riley Modlin, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012, in Santa Fe, Texas.

Hal had been a long distance truck driver. Hal battled alcoholism, and he suffered from kidney failure and was on dialysis during the last few years of his life. Hal donated his body to Sam Houston University Teaching Hospital in Houston, Texas. There will be no services, per his request.

Those who remain to cherish special childhood memories are his brothers and sisters, Louie Modlin, Velda Clark, Lottie Jarnagin, Dal Modlin, Judy Cass, Billie Burk and Lula Bucklin and their families. Also surviving Hal was a special friend and caretaker, Lucy Ivey of Santa Fe, Texas. Hal is also survived by two children, Brad Modlin and Jeannie Cron and their families, and their mother, Norma Clark.
