Newton alum is juggling for Jesus

After a long career with Vernon Company, Terry Dodd, Newton Senior High School Class of 1957, has developed a couple of other careers. He was in Newton Thursday evening, promoting his new book through a juggling act.

Now a resident of Atlanta, Ga., Dodd said he started his juggling routines in response to his mother’s request to bring some entertainment to the assisted living facility and the other residents. It took him eight months to develop a juggling act and he kept a journal of that experience. His notes over two years became the basis for his latest book, “Journey With Outstretched Hands,” and the Christian ministry in assisted living facilities in northern Georgia.

Dodd works the mistakes he makes during his juggling into a metaphor for our relationship with God.
