Sparks, Killough to wed

Aaron Sparks and Emily Killough, both of Lancaster, Pa., announce their engagement and upcoming wedding.

Emily is the daughter of Dr. Steven F. and Nan Killough of Lancaster, Pa. She graduated from Lancaster Country Day School in 2004 and Davidson College in Davidson, N.C., in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She is the minister to children, youth and families at Saint James Episcopal Church in Lancaster, Pa., where they met.

Aaron is the son of Greg and Mary Sparks of West Des Moines and the grandson of Jim and Doris Sparks and Earl and Betty Vogelaar, all of Newton. He graduated from Owatonna High School in Owatonna, Minn., in 2004 and from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif., in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He received a master of arts degree in public administration in 2011 from Penn State University Harrisburg. He is employed by the Pennsylvania State Senate and works in the Lancaster and York offices of Sen. Smucker.

The wedding will be this summer at Saint James Episcopal Church in Lancaster, Pa.
