Jerry Selbher earns Professional Engineer status in state of Iowa

Ames — FOX Engineering is pleased to announce that Jerry A. Selbher has successfully passed state licensure exams and now holds the distinction of being a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Iowa. Selbher has served as a project engineer at FOX since 2007 in the municipal engineering group. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Iowa State University. Following graduation in 1997, he taught 7-12 science in Mason City and Newton Community Schools. Following this, he returned to Ames, obtained his engineering degree and immediately began work as a consulting engineer. His responsibilities have included roadway, water and sanitary design, and construction administration.

Selbher is a native of Newton, and currently resides in Ankeny with his wife, Teri, and their children, Bethany and Jacob. He is active in his local church and enjoys time with his family. Prior to engineering school, Selbher taught eighth grade science at Berg Middle School in Newton from 2001-2004. His parents, John and Susan Selbher, still reside in rural Newton.

FOX Engineering is an environmental engineering firm based in Ames that specializes in water, wastewater and stormwater solutions for governmental and industrial clients.
