Dr. Young to discuss Unitarian Universalism tonight at church
Dr. Amy Young will present “Unitarian Universalism: The Flaming Chalice” for the final program of the season at 7 p.m. tonight at the Congregational United Church of Christ, 308 E. Second St. N. in Newton.
Young is assistant professor of German at Central College in Pella. She earned her doctor of philosophy degree in modern languages from the University of Nebraska. An Iowa native, she was raised Lutheran. After spending all 13 of her college years questioning pretty much everything, she came to her first UU service in 2004 and officially joined in 2006. She is a member of First Unitarian Church in Des Moines.
The public is invited to attend this event, which will have time for questions and answers. The series of lectures will resume in the fall.
