Small businesses are the engine of our economy. As head of a family owned and operated company I’m often asked, “What do small businesses need to grow and to create jobs?”

My answer: We need a new president.

I believe President Obama would like to help the country and really is trying. The problem is he doesn’t know what to do to be successful in that effort. He appears not to know what’s good for workers, what’s good for business and what’s good for the economy. This very reason is why so many small business owners across Iowa and America believe we need a new direction.
