Article:	Newton Municipal Band seeking members The Newton Municipal Band is inviting all instrumentalists to take part in the band’s summer concert season. Membership in the band is open to adults, college students and high school students in Jasper County and beyond who enjoy playing a wide variety of band literature in an outdoor setting. The band is planning its first rehearsal for 7 to 8:30 p.m. May 24 in the Newton Senior High School band room. The first concert is scheduled for June 7 at the Maytag Bowl at Maytag Park in Newton.
