Kellogg Garden Club
The Kellogg Garden Club finalized plans for its High Tea during a meeting on April 24. The High Tea took place on May 5 with Denny Slings, retired Newton City Parks and Recreation director, as the featured speaker.
The club also planned its garage and plant sale, scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, at the home of Laura Hanawalt inside Maytag Park in Newton.
K-EN T.T.T.
The May meeting chapter of K-EN T.T.T. met at 6:30 p.m. at JT’s Cuisine.
A short business meeting was conducted at the beginning of the evening. The secretary’s, treasurer’s and committee reports were given. The paperwork for the camp girls is nearing completion and should be mailed soon. A letter and certificate were presented from the state historian Daphne Emmack-Owens recognizing the ladies of the original Chapter K on having been a group for 80 years.
Following the meeting dinner was enjoyed by 15 members in attendance.
