To the Editor,

The Newton Daily News letter to the editor “Maytag benefits outlined in contract” on March 28 leaves me cold with its apathy, capitulation and lack of solutions. What is the author’s motivation? Words are great but require action to have any value. What are options left to appeal for those that have lost so much to Whirlpool? I doubt everything had been tried.

There is a way, fair and legal, to achieve retribution. This is America. Some line of attack has been missed. Someone messed up “big time,” and they can be held accountable for what they did.
