Jasper County Sheriff’s Office

• Jody L. Kuhlman, 39, of Mitchellville turned herself in at the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear in court. According to a sheriff’s office report, Kuhlman arrived at the law center at 10:20 a.m. She was placed in the Jasper County Jail.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty. It is the policy of the Newton Daily News to release the names of individuals charged with a crime who are 15 and older.
