Jansen, Porter to wed

Mr. and Mrs. Morris Jansen of Newton announce the engagement of their daughter, Melinda Jansen, to Mark Porter. 

Melinda is a 2003 graduate of Lynnville-Sully High School and a 2007 graduate of Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, with a bachelor of arts degree in biology health professions and a minor in chemistry. She is currently employed at Integrated DNA Technologies in Coralville, Iowa, as a quality specialist.

Mark is a 2005 graduate of Fairfield High School and a 2008 graduate of Western Illinois University in Macomb, Ill., with a bachelor of science degree in agricultural business. He is currently a part owner and operator or Porter Family Farms in rural Fairfield as well as a crop insurance agent and risk management advisor for F.A.R.M.1 Insurance Services.

A July 2012 wedding is planned at the Sully Community Church with a reception following at the Central College Graham Center.
