MAT competes at Melcher-Dallas
Marshalltown Area Tumbling/Trampoline recently competed in a one-day USTA/AAU Power tumbling meet in Melcher-Dallas.
The event was a smaller meet that focused more on the lower levels of competition.
“This was an excellent meet for our lower level athletes to have some fun and gain experience to build confidence with there skills,” head coach Ron Brooks said.
MAT has two more invitational meets and one more team trial before heading to the USTA state championships at the Hy-Vee Hall in Des Moines this month. Results from the Melcher-Dallas meet are as follows:
Sub-beginner Girls — age 4, Olivia Norrish, fifth place; age 6, Mandee Selover, second place, and Bailey Littell, third place.
Sub-Beginner Boys — age 5, Trent Thompson, first place.
Beginner Girls — age 6, Sara Huffman, first place, and Madilyn DeGoey, fourth place; age 7, Mackenzie Faircloth, third place; age 8, Brittany Sichra, first place.
Advanced Beginner Girls — age 7, Trista Thompson, first place, and Avery Mull, fourth place; age 8, Emma Bair, third place; age 9, Ashley VanSickle, fourth place.
Sub-Novice Girls — age 9, Alexis Farrell, first place; age 11, Savanna Lopez, second place.
Novice Girls — age 9, Allie Norvell, first place; age 12, Ryanne Rausch, first place.
