First Assembly of God, 1029 E. 19th St. N., will show “The Passion of the Christ” during a free family movie night at 7 p.m. Friday, April 6, at the church. “The Passion of the Christ” covers the final 12 hours of Jesus’ life, beginning with the agony in the garden and ending with a brief depiction of his resurrection. Flashbacks of Jesus as a child and as a young man also are included. The dialogue is in reconstructed Aramaic and Latin with vernacular subtitles.
The public also is invited to attend a musical presentation of “Song of the Lamb” during the 10:15 a.m. service on Easter Sunday. The presentation takes listeners on a journey from despair to hope, death to life, weeping to worship. For more information, contact the church at (641) 792-4365.
