Comprehensive plan meetings set next week

Six small topic team discussions for the Newton’s comprehensive plan update are scheduled in the next few weeks.

All meetings will last approximately one hour and will begin at 5 p.m. in the Newton Public Works conference room, 1700 N. Fourth Ave. W. in Newton.

The topic schedule is as follows: housing on Monday; sustainability on Tuesday; identity, attitude and marketing on Thursday; education on Monday, Feb. 27; healthcare on Tuesday, Feb. 28; and economic development on Thursday, March 1.

Any individual may file written comments and/or attend any of the meetings. Additional information can be obtained from the community development department at 1700 N. Fourth Ave. W. in Newton or by calling (641) 792-6622.
