American Legion, Freedom Flight fundraiser on Saturday

A fundraiser dance to benefit the American Legion Post 111 and the 2013 Jasper County Freedom Flight is planned for Saturday at the American Legion in Newton.

Finger food provided by the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary will be served from 7 to 8 p.m, and a dance with music for all ages provided by Oonie Tunes will be from 8 p.m. to midnight. Cost is $15 a couple. Attendees also will receive two tickets for door prizes (must be present to win), which will include a bottle of wine, a box of chocolates, a dozen red roses and numerous gift certificates. Cost is $8 for a single ticket.
