Berg Middle School students were practicing Tuesday afternoon at Newton Community Theatre for their upcoming play, “The Legend of Katastrophe Kate.” The play is a fanciful tale of a chili cook-off set in the Wild West and boasts the participation of 39 students. There will be two performances at 6 and 8 p.m. this Friday. Admission is free.
