Nick Cummins named Iowa Golf Course Superintendent of the Year

Nick Cummins, golf course superintendent at Westwood Golf Course in Newton, was named Iowa Superintendent of the Year at the Iowa Golf Course Superintendents Association annual meeting on Jan. 18.

The award was presented at the Downtown Marriott in Des Moines as part of the 78th Iowa Turfgrass Conference & Trade Show. Cummins is a 10-year member of Iowa GCSA and has been with Westwood Golf Course for three seasons.

The Iowa GCSA is dedicated to promoting continuing education, research and networking among superintendents and within the turfgrass industry to enhance the game of golf and the environment.
