Iowa City nurse accused of prescription fraud

IOWA CITY (AP) — A nurse who had worked at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics has been charged with illegally obtaining prescriptions.

Online court records say 45 year old Michelle Reid of Kalona also is charged with fraud.

Authorities say she got the medications while working at the hospital between July 2010 and September 2011.

Reid has left Johnson County Jail. A phone listed for her is not in service. Her attorney didn’t immediately return a call Thursday from The Associated Press.
