Anonymous woman thanked for her honesty

To the Editor,

There is a lady somewhere out there that I would love to thank, but I don’t know who you are. On Thursday, I went to Walmart shortly after 3 p.m. I made my purchases, put my things in the car and put the cart where it belonged in one of the cart stalls. After pulling into my garage at home, I realized my purse was gone. I must have left it in the cart, so I headed back to Walmart.

After seeing my purse was no longer in the cart, I went to customer service and, sure enough, the lady behind the counter pulled out my purse and handed it to me. She said a lady brought it in only minutes before. After breathing a sigh of relief, giving thanks to my Lord and discovering that everything was intact, I asked if she knew who the lady was that brought in my purse. She did not know, so I can only say — to whoever you are — a very big thank you! Thank you for being honest and responsible. It’s nice to know there are people in Newton who value honesty.
