Noble All-American Ford to donate as much as $6,000 for PCM High School
MONROE — Ford Motor Company and Noble All-American are partnering to help raise money in support of PCM High School as part of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program.
Community members will have the opportunity to raise up to $6,000 for PCM High School by test driving a Ford vehicle at PCM High School from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16. For every person from a unique household who test drives a 2011 Taurus, Fusion Hybrid or Sport, Fiesta, Mustang or other Ford vehicle, Noble All-American will donate $20 to PCM High School.
“This is a fun and simple way for community members to show their support and help raise money for PCM High School while taking a drive in our latest vehicles,” said Tim Kline of Noble All-American. “We are proud to partner with the school in the Drive One 4 UR School program again and look forward to this opportunity to support our young people.”
Since the start of Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program in 2007, more than 173,000 people have helped raise more than $3.3 million for nearly 1,000 high schools across the country. Locally, Noble All-American has participated in Ford’s Drive One 4 UR School program for a year and raised over $3,000 for PCM High School.
In addition to raising much-needed revenue for high school extracurricular activities, Ford Motor Company’s Drive One 4 UR School program also gives participants the chance to take a look at Ford and Lincoln Mercury’s new cars and safety technologies, including:
• MyKey™, a system that allows parents to limit a vehicle’s top speed and audio volume to encourage safe driving behavior in teens;
• SYNC®, the fully integrated, in-vehicle voice-activated communications and entertainment system with 911 Assist™, Vehicle Health Report and GPS-based features including business search and call completion;
• Blind Spot Information System (BLIS™) with Cross Traffic Alert, which uses radar to check the blind spot and helps notify the driver of approaching traffic when backing out of a parking spot; and,
• Active Park Assist, a technology that helps drivers position the vehicle for parallel parking and then steer it into a parking spot without touching the steering wheel.
Ford’s U.S. flagship, the Taurus, is a full-size sedan. The Taurus offers class-exclusive, customer-focused technologies, including MyKey™ programmable vehicle key, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS™) with Cross Traffic Alert, Ford SYNC™ with 911 Assist, and voice-activated navigation with SIRIUS® Travel Link™, to name a few.
To participate, visit PCM High School on Sept. 16. Participants must be 18 or older and have a valid driver’s license. There is a limit of one test drive per household.
