Methodist church, Salvation Army offering free meal, classes Wednesday

The First United Methodist Church, in partnership with The Salvation Army, is offering a free meal every Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. for the community at the church, 210 N. Second Ave. E.

Next week the groups will be serving ham, corn and cheesy potatoes along with Jello cake and beverages. A variety of human service agencies also will be on hand to answer questions, and classes for children, teens and adults will be from 6:15 to 8 p.m. Nursery care will be available for little children while parents attend class. Those needing a ride are invited to call Pastor Gary Marzolf at (641) 792-4648.
