Sixth annual “Off the Beaten Path” is Sept. 18

OAKLAND ACRES — The sixth annual “Off the Beaten Path” trail race and fun run/walk will be held Saturday, Sept. 18 at Jacob Krumm Nature Preserve near Oakland Acres.

The race will begin at 9 a.m., with registration occurring between 8 and 8:45 a.m. that morning. There is a 6K trail race and 3K fun run put on by the Jasper County Conservation Connection.

Cost for the race — which includes a T-shirt — is $20 if postmarked by Sept. 3 or $25 after the due date. Proceeds from the race will serve to benefit the natural resources and sustainability of Jasper County through the help of our non-profit group — Jasper Conservation Connection.

Awards will be given for the top 3 in each age division. There also will be prizes given away after the race.
