Ballroom dancing classes at YMCA

Certified dance instructors Jim and Suzi Benjamin will be teaching ballroom dancing classes for teens and adults at the Newton YMCA this fall.

The first session will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Fridays, Sept. 10 through Oct. 29. The cost is $120 a couple for YMCA members and $140 a couple for non-members. Dances that will be taught include the merengue, foxtrot, swing, waltz, rumba, tango and cha cha.

The second session will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Fridays, Nov. 5 through Dec. 17 (no class Nov. 26). The cost is $90 a couple for YMCA members and $110 a couple for non-members. Dances that will be taught include the merengue, foxtrot, swing, waltz and rumba.
