Newton Police Department

• William W. Farr, 17, of Newton was charged with assault serious, criminal trespass and possession of drug paraphernalia at 10:50 p.m. Wednesday at 1794 W. Fourth St. N., Apt. 1. The report states Farr got into an argument with a female and was told to leave the residence numerous times but refused to do so. When police arrived, they found the female Farr was arguing with had a two and a half inch cut on her arm. During a search of Farr’s person, police said they could not find any object which could have caused the cut but did find a marijuana pipe, which Farr admitted was his. Farr was referred to juvenile services.

Jasper County Sheriff’s Office

Bryce A. Grober, 22, of Reasnor was arrested at 8:40 p.m. Wednesday after turning himself in to the Jasper County Jail. The report states Grober was wanted on a warrant for a probation violation after previously being charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree theft.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
