Hansen receives music degree

Whitney Raye Hansen was recently granted the Master of Music degree from the University of Tennessee. Hansen received her graduate hood on May 14, 2010 in Knoxville. Her emphasis is on Operatic Vocal Performance.

While in Tennessee, Hansen had many opportunities to perform with the University Opera, local groups and the Knoxville Opera Company. She is continuing her vocal studies with Maestro David Jones in New York City, N.Y., as she prepares for the audition season, which begins in late fall.

Hansen is a past student of the late Dr. Carroll Proctor. She is a 2004 graduate of Newton Community High School and a 2008 graduate of Simpson College. She is the daughter of Craig and Debbie Hansen.
