Appleby retiring from Newton Police Department

The Newton Police Association invites the citizens of Newton to a retirement coffee for Lt. Jim Appleby of the Newton Police Department.

Appleby will be retiring from the department on April 1. Family and friends of Appleby will meet at the Newton City Hall Council Chambers between noon and 2 p.m. Thursday, April 1, to wish him well in retirement and thank him for his many years of service to the people of Newton.

Refreshments will be served. The public is encouraged to attend.
