Book Review of the Week By Sarrah Knight

They thought they’d eliminated their rat.

However, in the latest Bishop/SCU novel, “Blood Ties” by Kay Hooper, Bishop’s crew quickly discovers otherwise when a sniper starts taking potshots at agents working crime scenes. The trickiest part of this case is figuring out how the vendetta against the Special Crimes Unit ties to the gory string of murders the unit is currently investigating. When one of the SCU’s mediums falls victim to the gunman, she puts together part of the puzzle while unconscious--but can Diana recover in time to keep anyone else from dying?

Kay Hooper’s “Blood Ties” is action-packed nearly to the point of being overwhelming. Fans will appreciate how it ties up loose ends from the previous books in the trilogy but still leaves enough dangling threads for more books in the series.
