Colfax-Mingo girls gain two all-conference honors

A pair of Colfax-Mingo girls basketball players were given honors when the Heart of Iowa Small School all-conference teams were released Friday night.

On the first team, South Hamilton, North Polk and Ogden each got two selections. For South Hamilton, it was senior Katie Gustafson and junior Sara Waid, while for North Polk it was senior Megan Howard and Marissa Madson.

Ogden had senior Olivia Diggs and junior Amanda Roederer named to the first team.

Colfax-Mingo had one player named to the second team — senior Brooke Berkey. Berkey led the team with 8.2 points per game and led the team in 3-pointers (18) and was second on the team in steals (35).

Junior Danielle Beals also was named honorable mention for the Tigerhawks. Beals was second on the team with 7.9 points per game and led the team in steals (38).
