‘The Lion King’ hits the stage
“The Lion King” is under way at the Civic Center in Des Moines. Shows run now through Jan. 24.
Based on the Disney film, the stage version of “The Lion King” brings the animals to life with elaborate costumes. Performers move to the pulsating rhythms of the African Pridelands and the score includes songs from the film including Elton John and Tim Rice’s Oscar-winning song “Can You Feel The Love Tonight,” as well as “Circle of Life.”
Tickets for “The Lion King” range in price from $22.50 to $130 and are available at the Civic Center Ticket Office, all Ticketmaster locations, charge-by-phone at (800) 745-3000 and online at www.civiccenter.org.
Groups of 20 or more should call (515) 246-2321. For a complete listing of show times available visit www.civiccenter.org.
