Winter weather causes athletic postponements
All high school athletic events scheduled for Tuesday and tonight have been postponed due to the extreme winter weather hitting all of the Midwest.
The Newton boys swim meet at Newton YMCA with Ottumwa scheduled for Tuesday has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 15, at 5:30 p.m.
PCM’s basketball games for Tuesday at Gilbert have been rescheduled, with the varsity girls only traveling to Gilbert on Monday, Feb. 8, for a 7:30 p.m. start time. The boys will travel to Gilbert for a junior varsity-varsity doubleheader on Thursday, Feb. 11, at 6 p.m.
CMB’s basketball games for Tuesday at Roland-Story have been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 9, with the girls starting at 5 p.m.
Colfax-Mingo’s basketball games at home against Ogden from Tuesday have been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 23, with the girls starting at 3 p.m.
Lynnville-Sully’s basketball games at home against Sigourney for Tuesday night have been postponed, along with tonight’s wrestling meet against Belle Plaine and Sigourney. No makeup dates have been announced.
