Prairie Suites on track 
for January opening

Construction of the Prairie Suites motel project is still on track for an opening in January. Most of the exterior work has been completed, following a very wet October, which slowed the project somewhat. Crews are now working on electrical and other systems. Co-owners Dave Fisher and Alan Halferty say they are glad for the slight delay in the motel’s opening. They are seeing signs the economy is improving for tourism. The motel features “green” technology in king and queen-sized rooms as well as an extended-stay suite, a conference room and bar.
