Larry L. DeVore

Larry L. DeVore, 69, of Monroe, formerly of Newton, died Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at the Kingdom Hall, 563 Highway 14, south of Monroe. The family will greet friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Monroe City Hall, 206 W. Sherman in Monroe.

Memorials in Larry’s name may be left at the memorial service, visitation or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.

Survivors include his wife, Simone of Monroe; two sons, Didier (Sherri) DeVore of Helena, Mont., and Dan DeVore, and his girlfriend, Kaylee VanWyk, of Monroe; daughter, Dominique (Carl) Deutsch of Belle Plaine, Minn.; his four grandchildren, Bradley and Angela Deutsch and Dakota and Damika DeVore; brother, George E. DeVore of Ft. Meyers, Fla.; and sister, Buelah V. (Galen “Bud”) Stock of Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph G. and Minnie C. (Rhoades) DeVore.

Service arrangements are being handled by the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton.
