Jasper Conservation names photo winners

Text Size: AaAaAaAaAa

Jasper Conservation Connection (JCC) hosted its second annual photo contest this year, with the top placing photos used on greeting cards, and eight photos from local photographers have been selected for the cards, two from each season of the year.

The photographs had to be taken by amateur photographers in Jasper County and had to feature wildlife, landscapes or people enjoying the outdoors. The photographers featured in this year’s set of greeting cards are Linda Hotger, Sandy Clark, Linda Greene, Teresa Arrowood, James Powell, Barbara Van Zante and Danna Fruetel. They will each receive 16 free cards. To view the photographs, go to www.jaspercountyconservation.com.

The cards will be sold in packages of 16 at a cost of $15 a package. They are available for purchase at the Jasper County Conservation Board office, 115 N. Second Ave. E. in Newton. The cards are blank inside, so they are perfect for use throughout the year and make a great gift. In addition, those who purchase three sets of cards will receive a free JCC canvas shopping bag.
