To the Editor, The projected astronomical

To the Editor,

The projected astronomical cost of this legislation is of great concern. The violation of individual rights, however, is of even greater concern. Our government is charged with protecting our rights in order to protect our political freedom.

Why are our lawmakers suddenly willing to sacrifice our rights and destroy our freedom? What are they going to get out of this dreadful legislation? What power or financial loot do they expect to garner to themselves? For what purpose are they willing to destroy our health care industry and our economy?

Have they thought about how safe they will be when they are lying under a surgeon’s knife when that surgeon knows that this is the person who voted to enslave him? Have you?

Isn’t it time to remember that we are Americans?
