Betty J. Messersmith, 86, of Traer, Iowa, formerly of Baxter, Iowa, died Sunday, Nov 1, 2009, in Traer.
Memorial services will be on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Traer with burial at 2 p.m. at the Bethany Cemetery in rural Baxter.
Survivors include two daughters, Marianne (Craig) Hillemeier of Hummelstown, Pa., and Carolyn (Eric) Laursen of Salt Lake City, Utah; one sister, Mary (Ivan) Stansbery of Traer; and four grandchildren.
