Agenda items include adopting a resolution in support of and partnerships with the 2010 census, approval of the 2010 census partnership agreement, coordinating a county-wide complete count committee, a resolution naming the Highway 6 bridge over the North Skunk River the General James Wilson Bridge and naming the bridge over the South Skunk River the General James B. Weaver Bridge, consideration of pickup mounted snow plow quotations and CMP culvert pipe quotations, approval of a lighting installation and removal quote, approval of the 2010 holidays, amending an employee hiring resolution and discussion of the engineer hiring status.

Newton City Council

The council will consider resolutions to approve bid opening for the aeration replacement project at the Newton Water Pollution Control Plant and to approve pay application on the former Maytag Demolition Project.
