Pumpkin Paintin’

About 45 children spent Tuesday evening at Judy’s Crafters and Sewing Center, in a pumpkin decorating contest as a celebration of autumn. Winners were declared in three age categories. Pictured are the first-place winners (from left) Derek Wermager, in the 3- to 6-year group, Jacob Arnett, winner of the 7- to 9-year-old category, and McKenzie Raridon, in the 10- to 12-year-old category. Judy’s, located on the south side of the Newton square, hosted its grand opening on Oct. 24.
