Figure 8 Stock car races

Eugene Hanson II from Newton won the Figure 8 Stock Car Race of Champions event at the Sigourney Expo Grounds on Labor Day weekend. Hanson is in his third year of racing and competes regularly at Sigourney and What Cheer. Hanson finished second in his heat race and fifth in his feature to earn a spot in the Race of Champions 12 lap shootout. He drew the second starting position and led every lap.
