Lynnville-Sully receives 
11 academic honors

SULLY — A total of 11 Lynnville-Sully softball players received South Iowa Cedar League Academic All-Conference honors.

To receive the honor, a player must have a 3.25 grade point average for the fourth quarter.

The players to receive the honor were junior Brooke Van Soelen, sophomores Caitlin Cross, Danielle Samson and Tara Van Rees, and freshmen Sydney Brand, Shelby Maasdam, McKenzi Ritter, Taryn Rockwell, Ashley Sparks, Cierra Stafford and Abby Van Wyk.

The Hawks had a team GPA of 3.22, which qualified them for a state academic award.
