Newton student returns 
to Colt Cadets Corps

Paige Kruse has returned to the Colt Cadets for a second year of tour and competition.

Kruse, daughter of Kurt and Leah Kruse, will be a freshman this next year at Newton high school. She is part of the percussion pit for the 2009 program named “Lullaby and Good Nightmare.”

The Colt Cadets, based out of Dubuque, are made up of members in middle school and high school primarily from Dubuque and the tri-state area. Founded in 1967, the Colt Cadets are one of the few remaining cadet corps in the country.

This year the tour passes through Des Moines on June 25 at Valley Stadium.
