Special to the Daily News The Iowa Association of Justice, formerly known as Iowa Trial Lawyers Association, recently installed its 2008-2009 officers during its annual convention in Des Moines. Brad McCall of Brierly Charnetski L.L.P. was installed as president-elect. Denny Chalupa of Brierly Charnetski L.L.P., a past president of the association, received IAJ’s Verne Lawyer Outstanding Member Award in recognition of his “unstinting devotion and service to the association for several years running and (his) leadership and guidance in recent months as budget committee chair.” Headquartered in Des Moines, the Iowa Association for Justice is an organization of nearly a thousand attorneys who fight for justice in courtrooms and communities across the state. The association serves the legal profession and the public through its efforts to strengthen the nation’s justice systems, promote injury prevention and foster the disclosure of information critical to the health and safety of all Iowa families.
