Hundreds of residents turned out for the fourth annual affair, with 25 businesses offering their take on the themed hot dog. Organizer Jennie McCloney and her committee organized the event, and the judges awarded best of show to Dodd’s Trash and Recycling’s entry, which had a recycle theme with a hot dog and beans in a tin can. Honorable mention went to Vernon’s Manufacturing’s “Under Dog,” featuring a bacon wrapped dog served in a dog bowl, and First Newton National Bank’s Bavarian dog.
